HOTEL JEN ORCHARDGATEWAY

The launch of Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore is the first opening of this major initiative to re-brand many of Shangri-La’s existing Traders Hotels across the region. Catering to urban adventurers, leisure travelers, and even business travelers, Hotel Jen seeks to be as a fresh, friendly and fuss-free mid-range hotels that deliver quality, comfort and value with a playful twist and friendly service.

FAMILY DELUXE ROOM

Sitting atop the new iconic Orchardgateway, this 502-room hotel occupies levels 10 to 20 and is interconnected with Orchard Central and 313@Somerset as well. Guests have a choice of four room types, from a 27-square-meter Superior Room to the 66-square-meter Premier Panorama Room.

Only recently, Hotel Jen released an awesome option for families to stay at their newly launch Family Deluxe Room with an even wider and more spacious that comes with a super comfy king-sized bed and 1 huge sofa bed for the kids! Suitable for families with children to share the same sleeping area without compromising in space and comfort.

High up above the rest, we took in the amazing view of the Marina Bay with a breath of fresh air, when we arrived in the spacious 47sqm Family Deluxe Room located one level above the prominent rooftop pool on level 19. This was our first night out with our new member of the gang. He laid on the fluffy white sheets legs and hands all stretched out, and his elder brother went straight to the sofa bed and claimed his sleeping space for the day. The view from our room was not just stunning it was spectacular! We could see as far as the iconic Marina Bay Sands from our full-length glass windows. It was photo perfect at every shot with all the natural lighting.

Complete with a smart en-suite bathroom with shower and bath, we have no plans to head out into the malls for the day. All we wanted was to just laze back (room service!) and turned on the tap for some hot bubble bath with the kids.

Within the room, we discovered that were tea and coffee station, 40-inch Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) system, Steam iron, ironing board and hairdryer and access to free WIFI the moment we checked in. The great thing about staying in Singapore even if we are locals is that we do not lack access to international TV Channels which can be a PLUS thing if kids are around. Whether its toilet breaks for the parents or just entertaining the kids when we need a nap, that 30 mins of self-entertainment can really help a lot.

The thing about Hotel Jen was that snacks and other essentials were always available at the Lobby, and after being invited to a few staycation, getting hungry in the middle of the night happen more than we expected. Therefore, we always enjoy having a few vending machines being available in handy areas – liked in Hotel Jen.

CLUB LOUNGE

On the 19th floor, Club Lounge boasts panoramic city views and a host of thoughtful touches. From Exclusive check-in and check-out with the totally in-the-know concierge waiting for you to allowing you to have a special treat of complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks all day long. Or giving you a space to enjoy your special breakfast buffet. Even so, we got to enjoy the complimentary evening cocktail and alcoholic beverages, from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm daily.

There were exquisite tea and coffee, fresh fruits and sweet treats whenever we came by. We even did a short meeting with one of our partner that very noon! One piece of laundry pressing per stay and Two hours complimentary use of the meeting room suites is available for those who needed that urgent request to hold meetings there.

We almost spend more than 1 hour hanging around the Club Lounge just to get some work done, whilst the elder son was attached to the free and high speed wi-fi at the Internet Surfing table as he catches on his Youtube videos!

LOBBY

Being in the heart of the city, Hotel Jen OG has an advantage of all the magnificent views. Even the Lobby was located at level 10! Checking in and out was seamless and easy. We merely took less than 5 mins to get everything done before we were whisked up to our rooms.

ON THE GO

Placing snacks counter – On The Go deli counter,  at the Lobby is indeed a clever and thoughtful gesture. Providing guests the option to hop over to grab snacks and drinks whenever they need or before heading out for more adventures!

ROOFTOP POOL

That epic moment of stepping out of our hotel room and get our eyes peeled over this scenery. It was pure therapeutic to just glaze at the 47-meter rooftop pool while sinking into the lounges dotted by the pool. We highly recommend this – a great option to chase away the emotional burden built up during work or home! Did we mention that the fitness center is 24hours?

MAKAN@JEN

Popular for its vibrant and comprehensive taste of the local and international food choices, Makan@Jen offers a variety of cooking stations, make-your-own salad options, and scummy buffet spread. We had our breakfast fix with an array of delicious international buffet after a good night rest, next morning. There were fresh fruits, cereals, local dishes such as Nasi Lemak and traditional porridge options, french toasts and pancakes, and noodle soup!

LOUNGE@JEN

If you manage to make the kids sleep early that night, why not hop over to Lounge@Jen for some Happy Hours with your spouses and family or friends? There are afternoon tea sessions with an indulgent selection of desserts at SGD 58++ for 2 persons served with cocktails to refresh your taste buds!
