One night only was enough to have our boys going gaga and pleading to go back again. Follow me in unveiling the various family facilities and our experience in this beautiful hotel.

Newly situated on our Sentosa island, this latest addition to the Village brand by Far East Hospitality is merely a stone’s throw away to iconic family destinations such as KidZanaia Singapore, Sentosa Merlion, Singapore Cable Car and sandy beaches in Sentosa. We are not only awed by what it delivers but how it also subtly prompt guests to discover the island’s rich culture and heritage of its surroundings as well.

Village Hotel Sentosa boosts a cozy 606-room hotel decorated in sun-washed hues of nature by the sea. From design, ambiance to the choice of furnishings, it offers a variety of brand new amenities and activities for everyone who stays or not.

Their entire concept of a family-friendly hotel is built with kids in mind and everything to make sure the little guests are as comfortable as the adults.

VIK (Village Important Kids)

The moment we stepped foot into the lobby, we noticed a special ladder for the little ones. No need to jostle the kids and luggage around during check-ins anymore as a dedicated check-in counter is prepared for the kids to experience what’s like to check in liked Mummy & Daddy!

Get on the VIK ladder, and let the kids manage their check in details while you do yours (beside them).

FAMILY ROOM

What sets a staycation different from the rest has got to be the lighting and view that the room offers. Our room was facing KidZania Singapore as well as the Palawan beaches, the magnificent ocean view from both our rooms was great! You can have a choice of either the pool or island view!

Having two interconnecting rooms for families of 4 is the best thing every family will appreciate during a hotel stay. Two is always better than one, imagine having two sets of everything –  two sets of TVs, two sets of vanity area, two sets of bathrooms, two sets of amenities and two sleeping areas!

Our boys ran from one room to another to claim their choice of abode and took a quick roll from sofas to beds. They were high on cloud nine and very excited to fully experience and explore what our interconnecting room offers.

In each family room – we have a choice of king size beds or twin beds, that comes with a sliding door in between the rooms for easy access to the next door.

The washing area also comes with plenty of cabinets and space for your bags and stuff. Do I mentioned that I loved the vanity mirror – perfect for make up time!

Our bedroom with the king size bed came with a bathtub and while the twin size bed bedroom had a standing shower. As parents, we always appreciate the privacy of a separate toilet and washing area, looks liked Village Hotel Sentosa got this done right for us!

Even the toilet seats were a high tech premium Japanese TOTO Electronic Washlet! It comes with our favorite function of lifting up the seat cover when it detects motion and aids to wash the little bums with ease!

AMENITIES & HIGHLIGHTS

Be impressed to indulge with Village hotel Sentosa‘s VIK’s hospitality with its wide range of amenities for the young guests. Specially curated welcome kits are prepared based on their age, gender, and the occasion of the stay. Only in family rooms that your child can have their very own amenities personalized for them.

If you have an infant or baby from 0 to 12 months, you can expect to have Baby cot, bathtub with toys, bath amenities, children’s hanger, and safety door stoppers already prepared in the room when you check in. Even the baby cot decor will be customized to the child and the best thing – you may bring it home as a souvenir!

For parents with infants from 1 year and above, you may get more to what’s provided in the above that includes pillows and blankets.

While the bigger kids may receive toiletries and traditional Singaporean games (e.g 5 stones or chapteh) to keep them entertained!

ONE HUGE HIGHLIGHT ABOUT THIS NEW HOTEL is its installation of the Hyflux Filtered Water Tap, with this, we don’t need to buy any more plastic bottles because we can literally drink from the tap! Though my husband prefers to still boil the water after, it still provides a sense of safeness to know that the kids are drinking water that’s filtered!

All you need to do is to fill up your own water bottle and you are good to go!

Our welcome gift from the hotel was a collapsible cup for on the go, this puts Village Hotel Sentosa on the top list as our favorite eco-friendly hotel in Singapore (more features to intro later).

FOUR POOLS

This infinity pool allows you to enjoy the gorgeous sunset views as well as daily evening fireworks by Wings of Time at 740pm and 840pm.

Children’s Play Pool

Trust me you won’t get any lazier floating at the Lazy River Pool as there are two rain features to level up your pool experience, something you will never get in any other hotels in Singapore! Let’s get lazy, shall we?

Adventure Pool

It’s not the Adventure Pool for no reason. As we plunged our feet into this giant two-tier pool that’s studded with social pods that mimic tiny verdant islands, it seems that we spent more than usual hours in the 4 interactive swimming pool that’s shared among two hotel properties – Village Hotel Sentosa (white facade) and The Outpost Hotel Sentosa (glossy black marble) which is also newly launched for the more exclusive and upscale romantic getaway for couples (sans kids).

No need further explanation on what the perfect family staycation should be, Village Hotel Sentosa got the best options Sentosa ever have.

Happy Camper

When you are feeling pesky after a swim under the glaring sun, get under the shelter, grab your seats and visit the vintage Volkswagen food truck – Happy Camper for a variety of mouth-watering snacks packed right beside the Children’s Pool.

Weekends at the pool is even more fun as there will be movie screenings and free popcorns for all guests.

Currency Exchange Machine

Fuss-free service all around for our foreigner friends, we found a currency exchange machine at the lobby!

Lift to Pool

That includes easy access to every corner of the hotel, this is one option for families with kids who can’t wait to play at the pool. Here’s the escalator leading up to the pool directly from the Lobby! You can easily ditch your bags at the concierge if your check-in time is still early.

Vending Machines

Bringing kids out, we always worry that we forget things but no fret as we discovered a secret slash that Village Hotel Sentosa offers (not quite secret because it’s on every floor, by the lift) there were vending machines with sunblock lotions, mosquitoes patches and even medical oil selling with snacks & drinks! Can you spot cup noodles too!?

Amenities

To prevent wastage, you may not find any tea or coffee bags in the rooms because its located where you get your ice. Only take it when only if you need it, okay! #letsnotwasteit

Supply Depot (Quick Bite)

Whether you are feeling hungry after a day out exploring the island or you just needed a quick bite before you head out for more adventures, you are not lacking food at Village Hotel Sentosa!

I mean check out the plenty of eateries found on their premises. Located at the Lobby, we found SUPPLY DEPOT offering quick grab-and-go options if you are on the move. There are even barista coffee, fresh juices, cold stone ice creams, and varieties of snacks to just satisfy every guest’s request!

Native Kitchen (Restaurant)

Both breakfast and dinner, we had it at the only lush-oasis inspired restaurant in the Village Hotel Sentosa that serves authentic Polynesian cuisine with a tropical twist. Native Kitchen takes diners on a culinary adventure with a smorgasbord of the island-inspired menu featuring the best of land and sea.

You can get the best of Maldives, Bali, Hawaii and of course our very own island nation of Singapore under one roof, signatures include the island Ceviche, Steamed Barramundi, Kalbi Short Rib Loco Moco, Bebek Goreng and Big Kahuna Burger, together with local curated selection of Native Kitchen’s Nasi Lemak, Singapura Laska and Jumbo Satay Skewers are available to delight the palate.

For both days at our stay, we were literally parked at KidZania Singapore for some serious role-playing experience.

It’s @kidzaniasingapore 3️⃣ birthday and apart from the awesome news that theres free entry for 3 year Olds ⏩⏩ , they are also hosting a Heritage🕰️ themed activities until 17 April! . . . ⏩⏩⏩ Because of this, we managed to do some Heritage themed role play jobs in the city! Noah went to earn some kidZo by being a courier guy (you can try imaging academy & newspaper delivery) with the white iconic Singaporean towel over his shoulder, run around @kidzaniasingapore to fill up a trivia hunt form and earn 10 KidZo, join in the @muzartsingapore competition and fold some origamis, ride on a mini rickshaw for 15mins ($5 cash), and also do some Heritage building colorings! Do look out for the origami booth as there is an attractive giveaway from @canonsingapore! (swipe to see!) . . . The school holidays might end already, but I reckon it’s the best time to go @kidzaniasingapore to play so the waiting time per role playing is not too long! It’s Noah first time getting his own kidzania Maybank card and trying out the role plays, suddenly realized that he’s even more grown up now.. time flies so quickly, in an blink of an eye I can still remember the first time we set foot in here, he was only a toddler but now he could follow instructions well and remembers the route back to each stations. Super impressed by his photographic memory. I’m seriously considering for him to be back for more! Thanks for hosting us @kidzaniasingapore!
