We wonder whether the quaintness is due to being far in the residential or just those surrounding woods that calms the realm with serenity. A weekly staycation might just take some stress off the shoulder your tiring schedule.

LLoyd’s inn was reopened as a boutique orchard road hotel after an extensive revamp last year, opening its doors with 34 uniquely design guest rooms such as their well favored Skyroom, Garden room as well as their Patio rooms offer guests a fresh harmony of minimalist experience in their stay-cation.

Greeting us at the lobby was a cozy monochromatic designed elements with their signature giant map of their neighborhood in which arriving guests can download the walking guide to explore the bountiful vibrant eateries, cool cafes and malls down the main road.

BIG SKYROOM

We bet your kids would love running up and down the stairs while you sip tea at the upper loft reading area. Sun basking in the outdoor area is a luring experience to try for, with the private space and your own piece of sky under the open roof, who wouldn’t want a bubble bath in the summer?

Indulged in your little spa heaven tugged in the monochrome designed Skyroom, luring from the moment you stepped in to the spacious bedroom for a boutique hotel. Fully furnished with coffee/tea maker, safe and even ironing board hidden away from sight.

THE READING

Stray away from the artificial room lights and bask in the natural lighting in all rooms, with abundance greenery right from your windows. We love how all their beds are lifted up on the wooden flooring with drawers to save space. With their bathrobes in the style of Japanese kimono, and in house bath amenities readily available, you are in for a luxury retreat in this dainty boutique hotel.

THE BUSINESS

Another spacious room that was shown to us; a working table in the lower floor distinctly separates itself from the resting area in the upper loft by a deck of wooden stairs. Similarly there’s an outdoor shower area behind the working table with curtains to be drawn if you are worried about privacy. Ideally this room is designed specifically for business travellers – like Duh! (obviously) but we think this might be suitable for couple retreat as well if you are planning for the next baby. (because we are in love with the outdoor shower area!)

OUTDOOR PANTRY & ROOF TERRACE

Being on the same level as the lobby, this backyard outdoor pantry not only serves as a place for some beer or snacks with remote strangers in the same hotel. An awesome spot to bask in the evening sun to be bury in some good old book. For the convenience of their guests, crockery, disposable cutlery, microwave, vending machine and coffee maker is all available for use.

GARDEN DECK AND DIPPING POOL

Do we need to say more about this inviting scenery in Lloyd’s inn basement level? Under the twilight, guests get to mellow out on their gracious sundeck lounges or soak their feet in their humble cold dipping pool lined with luxuriant foliage.
