A TRIBUTE TO THE LATE FORMER PRESIDENT, MR S R NATHAN
A minute of silence was observed by visitors to the Singapore Night Festival 2016 at 7.30pm this evening, as a silhouette of Mr S R Nathan was projected on the stately façade of the National Museum of Singapore. The other museums in the precinct, including Peranakan Museum and the Singapore Philatelic Museum, were shone in white light to pay tribute to the late former President.

A LARGER-THAN-LIFE INVASION AT SINGAPORE NIGHT FESTIVAL 2016
The second weekend of Singapore Night Festival 2016 saw Singapore’s arts and heritage precinct transform into an arena for larger-than-life prehistoric creatures and magnificent characters. Dutch theatrical group, Close-Act, greeted the crowds with a dramatic parade along Armenian Street, before culminating the night with an unforgettable, moving street spectacle that involved all festival-goers in its path.Festival-goers caught in mid-battle between the larger-than-life prehistoric creatures and magical characters of Invasion – a second outdoor performance by Close-Act (Netherlands) taking place as part of the Singapore Night Festival 2016
These performances are one of more than 86 programmes, performances, and installations presented as part of the ninth edition of the region’s most anticipated outdoor nocturnal extravaganza.
