Runs & Events For Families in 2017

As a parent living in Singapore, there’s no lack of kids friendly events, mega fairs, and friendly competitive marathon runs to bring your children to! Here we are with a list of events to participate and have fun this year!

1. SUPERMOM – BIGGEST & GRANDEST BABY FAIR IN ASIA

Date: 17 – 19 Feb 2017 | 11am – 8pm

The first Ever Baby Fair held at Marina Bay Sands, SuperMom event offers over 1000 international brands coming together. First ever Junior Fashion Show extravaganza showcasing an assortment of local collections, exclusively featuring ONLY KIDS show in Asia!

2. RISE & SHINE FAMILY FUNFEST 2017

Date: 17 – 19 Feb 2017 | 11am Daily

Venue: Marina Bay Sands Expo Hall A & B

3. SMARTKIDS ASIA 2017

Date: 17 – 19 March 2017

Venue: Singapore Expo Hall 6

Sixth edition since 2012, SmartKidsAsia 2017 returns with exciting line-ups of activities. Working alongside the creative team at The Straits Times and The Little Red Dot magazine to introduce a smorgasbord of activities for children to Learn, Play and Discover! From art contests to holiday camps, SmartKids Asia offers a wide-range of activities for the ultimate learning experience.

4. BABY MARKET – BIGGEST BABY FAIR IN SOUTHEAST ASIA

Date: 7 – 9 April 2017

Venue: Singapore Expo

5. SAFARI ZOO RUN 2017

Date: 18 Feb 2017

Venue: Singapore Zoo

Featuring 4 animal mascots for Safari Zoo Run 2017 – naming Ah Meng the Orangutan, Chawang the Asian Elephant, Canola the Manatee and Sunny the Hornbill. This year Safari Zoo Run focuses on raising awareness for wildlife conservation, thus it’s theme – Run for Wildlife.

6. COLD STORAGE KIDS RUN 2017

Date: 21 May 2017

Venue: TBC

Other than taking part in the 10th year Cold Storage Kids Run, and jump aboard the specially prepared Carnival games, including unlimited access to kids friendly Rock wall, Hippo Belly, Olympic Challenge, and Pirate Ship!

7. POSB PASSION RUN FOR KIDS

8. INCOME ECO RUN

Date: 30 April 2017 / 5am-11am

Venue: F1 PIT Building

Income Eco Run 2017 is Southeast Asia’s premier eco-run with aims to raise awareness of the need for everyone to play their part in conserving the environment. Categories of the event include: 21.1km half marathon, 10km competitive race and 800m Kids Dash as well as a 10km Team Category.

9. MEIJI RUN

Date: 20 April 2017 / 3pm – 8pm

Venue: Sentosa Palawan Green

The world’s most delicious run is here in Singapore! Apart from being a spectacular race, receive delicious treat via a Meiji Snack Hamper and a finisher medal when you finish the race! There will be a Meiji Yoga and Meiji fair happening on the same day!

10. PLAYtime! ESPLANADE (theatre)

Date: 17 Feb – 26 Aug 2017

Venue: Esplanade

PLAYtime! is an interactive theatre series for children aged two to four. Each experience is an opportunity to spark your child’s creativity and encourage learning through the performing arts.

11. DREAMWORKS Day

Date: 24 June 2017

Time: 4pm-8pm

Venue: Gardens By The Bay, Bay East Gardens

Be part of the first ever DreamWorks Run in Asia! Come meet the colourful cast of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon and Madagascar and take this opportunity to interact and take pictures with the Dreamworks characters. Don’t miss out on this chance to spend quality time with family and friends in this inaugural DreamWorks themed event!

12. I LIGHT MARINA BAY

Date: 3 March to 26 March

Time: 730pm to 11pm

Venue: Marina Bay Waterfront

I light since 2010 is a showcase of light art installations created by artists from Singapore and around the world. About 20 sustainable light art installations will be taking centerstage at the Marina Bay waterfront. The festival also features a range of fringe activities for visitors to enjoy – ART-ZOO ( 11 larger-than-life inflatable art installations in a giant play-garden), THE FANTASTICAL WORLD OF eco.me (recycling and upcycling marketplace, a kinetic energy playground and an urban garden), CARNIVAL FUN and gastronomic delights from food artisans to indulge in, and more!

13. GARDENS BY THE BAY – CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL

Venue: Gardens By The Bay

Have a roaring good time at Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay this March! Step into an imaginative world where life-size colourful dinosaurs roam the Gardens. Join Brachy and his friends as they bring you on a wondrous adventure with entertaining activities like a dino-egg hunt, fun-filled carnival rides, games, crafts, workshops, and even music from the movie “Jurassic Park” performed by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

14. ZOO-RASSIC PARK

Date: 26 Nov 2016 – 31 Mar 2017

Venue: Singapore Zoo

Step back in time to Zoo-rassic Park to meet over 20 ferocious dinosaurs at Singapore Zoo and River Safari. Marvel at crowd favourites like the T-rex, Velociraptor and a host of their prehistoric cousins.
