In the humid and sun glaring summer, this is where we are – right at the refurbished clubhouse for a chill-out and laid back time with a list of (under the sun) kids-friendly activities for the whole family! Our abode for the 3D2N coastal staycation consists of 2 rooms – Family Suite & Deluxe Single Suite! Much liked a hotel or chalet they got much everything you need for a vacation! Let us show you several highlights of this family friendly staycation in CSC@Changi – PLUS Exclusive offer to our readers this Dec and next year Jan! (find out after you are done with the review)
Family Suite
The Family suite provides us a priceless experience to enjoy a laid back staycation suitable for the whole brood. We love the spacious and casual settings compare to cookie-cutter hotel rooms – because the refreshed CSC@Changi suites are accommodatingly huge! Unlike the old grubby conventional chalets, we got the whole suite to ourselves with a fully equipped kitchen for a leisure of having our meals at our own comfort but with the amazing features of a luxury resort; a gorgeous seaside view, swimming pools to enjoy, plus cafes and family-friendly restaurants within the compound. With the complimentary baby cot and wet playground shaped liked a pirate ship for kids, it turns out to be a great getaway for families with young kids.(that’s us!)
Deluxe Single Suite
We had a much enjoyable experience at their Deluxe Single Suite on our first day in CSC@Changi for an invited staycation – complete with a swing chair in the bedroom! We took turns sitting on the swing chair and taking photos of the awesome beach front view from the extended balcony. So if you are a family of 3-4, this suite is perfect for you. Without compromising in space, you can also easily accommodate another baby cot around the king-sized bed. But again, if staying in the room is not your thing, you can head out any time of the day to explore the mundane of eateries such as Cantonese dim sum for breakfast along Changi Village ( Le Xuan operates from 730 am) , chill out at insta-worthy cafes and tasty roti prata for supper!
Activites you plan to do whether it’s bowling at the “glow in the dark” alley, dipping in the pool or trying out the CSC@Changi cafes and restaurants (Our team’s pick – Hornbill Cafe or Meyer House Restaurants and bar), you are sure to find a nursing room nearby for diaper changing or nursing the little ones.
What To Do
Family-friendly activities at Pulau Ubin
Unfortunately (or fortunately) our toddler was too young for any more adventurous activities so we went the “safe” way of spending time. Off we go to the Changi Point Ferry Terminal where bumboats depart on a daily basis to nearby islands, Pulau Ubin and Pengarang in Malaysia. If you are heading over, take note that the bum boats only ferry 12 pax at a time with no schedule department time to and fro, so you may need to wait a while before the uncles will start the engines. So do plan your trip early!
Tickets cost at $2.50 per pax including children or toddlers. Famous for cyclists to a nature-discovery of the island home to Singapore’s last villages or “Kampongs”. Drawing about 300,000 visitors each year, the idyllic setting of rustic charm is ideal for awesome family outdoor activities. Get on a rental bike for $8 or less to explore sites around the island from 1960s architecture to spice trees and overgrown plantations, secluded beaches, mangrove forests and the famous Chek Jawa wetlands. Local seafood cuisine is something you should experience for once in your lifetime as well!
