The reason why I have fallen in love with the one and unique Doona Infant Car Seat Stoller because it isn’t just a convenient car seat, it is also a stroller and a carrier as well! Having to meet all US safety standards for the 3 functions (Car-Seats, Strollers and Hand-Held Carriers).
I, personally am very smitten with its blush pink canopy – aesthetically it’s my favourite colour and a head turner every single time. The moment I checked out this out on Jarrons & Cos, my heart was set to have this back home for my babydoll.
Navigating around the city in our sunny island, I see it as a game changer for traditional car seats as it allows a smooth transition between strolling and transportation. If you are considering in getting your first car seat, this is definitely the one you should buy as it can be double up as a stroller as well.
No need to cart around with a second stroller for sure. In fact, you can easily stowed it away before your next baby, because it makes parenthood easier for both you and your baby.
A CAR SEAT AND A STROLLER

Suitable for infants weighting up to 13 kg and 81cm, you can easily have this last till the baby turns 12 to 15 months old before stowing it away for the next baby or pass it on to another friend as it can be used for a good 6 years or so.
EASY INSTALLATIONS FOR CAR RIDES
Doona’s safe and practical solution allow on-the-go parents to go from car seat to stroller in few seconds.
I loved that it is ergonomically designed to support my baby and protect her from any impact. It comes with a 5-point harness, adjustable handlebar that acts as a rebound bar inside the car!
You may or may not use the base to install the car seat before any ride, baseline it should be secure with a seat belt. This is great if you have a compact car or rely heavily on taxis for travelling. This car seat will worth every investment you saved from newborn to toddler.
Even the brakes are easy to use, (beside the left wheel) green for go and (beside the right wheel) red for brakes, which other strollers I had to flip the brake up which sometimes cause too much inconvenience for me as I wear slippers. Whereas Doona’s “stop and go” brakes can be done in a second.
For myself, I find the weight a little heavier than other strollers, however it may be due to the weight of the wheels. So, the good point is you don’t need to carry it around as that’s what the wheels are for. And when it’s transformed into a car seat, you get a good weight to protect the baby as well.
Head turner I said from the start, with its stylish design it’s also compact enough to fit inside small cars and on airplanes. Having to pass the standards for TUV AND FAA, travelling overseas are never as easy as this. You don’t need an additional aircraft car seat for you to go flying with your baby. Pushing down the aisle seem pretty easy too.
WASHABLE DESIGN
We haven’t tried out yet, but we were told that the fabric is easily remove-able and washable, and the seat features a textile, which is supposed to be antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and heat- and humidity-regulating!
An extendable, water-repellant canopy offers UPF 50+ sun protection and is also removable and washable. It is able to shade her from most of the glaring sun moments right in the face, at least it could easily shelter her up to her knees or so.
The included head support is made of energy-absorbing materials and is specifically designed for extra side impact protection. It’s supposed to be installed at all times, which made for just perfect for Ellie when she was a newborn. I felt safe to bring her out, keeping my hands free at all time.
Even now, after she turns 6 months old, Ellie’ is well snuggled – even without the head rest. I often feed her when she uses it as a high chair at places that doesn’t provides one.
UNIQUE AND ONE OF A KIND
So far, we still haven’t found a stroller or a car seat so versatile like Doona. The market offers many competitively good products for baby travelling however to combine both at the same time, I can say it’s only Doona. You can easily buy an infant car seat and a stroller separately, but you would most likely spend the same amount of money or even more.
The only setback is the lack of basket for bags or loose items however, with all the benefits overweight, we could definitely do without. However if you need, you can also add on accessories such as Doona Essential bag for storage that can be purchased separately.
Given that it’s one of its kind, there’s no others to compare. This is really our favourite car seat so far. If you are preparing for your first one, or even your 2nd or more, do give it a try!
