Events For Kids & Families This March 2017!

Be awed by the variety of kids friendly events happening this March school holiday, from 11 March onwards! There are so many places to go and things to do with the pack, if you still have no idea of where to start, follow our lists of activities below to plan your day.

1. CHILDREN FESTIVAL (GARDENS BY THE BAY)

Have a roaring good time at Children’s Festival this March. The Dye-Nosaur Gardens brings the visitors into an imaginative habitat of dinosaurs and prehistoric plants. Look out for colourful and magnificent dinosaurs nestled at the Supertree Grove, and look forward to exciting performances, creative crafts, workshops and fun-filled carnival rides and games!

2. POP-UP ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND AT GUI

In collaboration with Pop-Up Adventure Play, Chapter Zero Singapore is excited to bring you its first Pop-Up Adventure Playground of 2017 on the wonderful grounds of Ground-Up Initiative.

3. I LIGHTS MARINA BAY (ART-ZOO)

Introducing Art-Zoo: An interactive inflatable art park with larger-than-life animals and plants, Spider Bouncer and inflatable maze, all for the young and young-at-heart! Art-Zoo 2017 is in conjunction with i Light Marina Bay, Asia’s leading sustainable light art festival, returns for its 5th edition from 3 – 26 March 2017. Join in some of these perennial crowd favourites such as a gourmet market, fun-filled carnival, art bazaars and many more, i Light Marina Bay 2017 will also feature new and exciting additions to the festival programme line-up!

4. SPORTS HUB COMMUNITY PLAY DAY

#SportsHubPlayDay is back again! Make a splash with us this March school holidays as we bring to you a fun-filled day of free water activities and lifestyle events that anyone can take part in!

5. Hi-5 AT CITY SQUARE MALL

Join Chats and Tinka from 11 – 19 Mar (daily except Mon) in their adventurous world, The Chatterbox, as they sing and dance along to popular Hi-5 tunes! Then, head down to Basement 2 (beside travelators) after for some action on the Robot Rides or L1 City Green for some outdoor fun at the Rainbowlicious Carnival!

6. THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER (Theatre)

A Classic Fable from Aesop… Returning after a SELL-OUT run in 2014, this 50 minutes musical is suitable for THE WHOLE FAMILY – ANYONE 3 years old and above!

Once there lived a hard-working and ever-busy Ant who never seemed to have time for play or relaxation.
And then there was Grasshopper, with time on his hands and nothing much to do all day. Somehow they were friends.
All day long Ant would work hard, without stop or rest, collecting grains of wheat and storing them carefully in her larder. Grasshopper would always laugh, and say. ‘Why waste the sunshine in labour and toil?’ But Summer does not last long – and soon Winter and the frozen cold will come… What will happen to Grasshopper then?

9. CHICKEN AND EGG: A FOWL TALE

This exhibition features about 200 stamps, dating from 1962 to the latest zodiac rooster stamps from Singapore and the Åland Islands, as well as fun hands-on exhibits. Discover the amazing journey of the humble chicken, from its early home in the Asian tropical forests, to the dining tables of the world!

10. SENTOSA KIDZ FLEA

Be a PLAY-trepreneur and experience the adventure of being a “boss”! Head down and support the little entrepreneur (ages 7 to 12 years old) with their new or pre-loved toys, books, accessories or handicraft! Discover the art of entrepreneurship through experiential learning in a fun environment.

11. NICKELODEON FIESTA

Nickelodeon Fiesta is a two-day event inspired by Clarke Quay’s rich history, featuring reimagined carnival & childhood games with a Nickelodeon twist. Limited edition Nickelodeon collectibles to be won! There will be a Nickelodeon Hunt and Meet-and-Greet sessions with family favourite characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and characters from one of the hottest preschool shows, PAW Patrol.

12. SILENT DISCO @ I LIGHT MARINA BAY

When you enter our special Silent Disco Club, Mum, Dad and all the kids will be handed a set of our special Silent Disco headphones to use for the duration of the party. There are three channels of music playing, and the headphones will light up in either red, green or blue, depending on which channel you’re listening to. Children will love being able to choose their own music, not to mention wearing a set of glowing headphones for a couple of hours!
