It’s nearly October, to reward your diligent kids from their hectic exam schedules, we’ve curated a heap of fun things for the whole family to relish in and take a break from work and school at Gardens By The Bay this weekend of 1st & 2nd October 2016. Heart A Bear Family Carnival will be bringing all the fun for families in Singapore with morning Zumba sessions, breakfast picnic by the bay, outdoor movie screening and a host of carnival games – there’s something for everyone!
Don’t miss out the main highlights at the Heartival where children with the help of their parents conquer quests that are made up of obstacle inflatables, earn points and redeem their own plush bear from Build-A-Bear Workshop. Heart A Bear Family Heartival

With a myriad of challenges and adventurous activities fit for any age group, this list of exciting activities at this weekend family carnival will guarantee a whole lot of fun, bonding and memories creating together:
1. Quests on Adventurous Journey
An outdoor activity, seeking historic items, solving riddles, wipe out the dinosaurs and save the bear! Kids can take part in 7 quests with small adventurous activities which will help to push the little ones out of their comfort zone! Each quest has a specific series of tasks that must be accomplished to earn a certain number of stars. All quest games are free and are designed for kids age 3-12 years old.
• Treasure Hunt (7-12 years old)
Warriors let’s make use of your wisdom and agility to conquer this quest and you will experience an unimaginable power that your mind holds. Brothers and Sisters, pick up your bravery and join in this quest! (Games: Dinosaur Bouncy Castle, Hit em’ all, Jumpy Hula hoops, Treasure Map)
Crawl your way to avoid the dinosaur and find the golden key: (Games: Maze Castle, Golden Key, 3 Legged Race, S crank course)
• Little Soldiers (7-12 years old)
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have! This quest put you to the test to gauge how well and adaptable you can be when met with different obstacles in life. From rock climbing to navigating through infra-laser zones, the little soldiers in you will be pushed to their limits. Test your abilities to attain higher speed, guts and environmental alertness! (Games: Gear up Little Soldiers, Little soldiers’ Pledge Recital, commando Inflatable Obstacle Course, Target Shooter, Commando Jump, Upon landing, cheer: * Mission Accomplished * )
• Tribal Shaky Forest (7-12 years old)
Kids will be given the responsibility to rescue and help someone in danger and this requires quick reflexes as well as the strength of the forearm. (Games: Dress up as a tribal member – Camouflage!, Do a rain dance, Shake it off challenge, Giddy Way, Shaky rainforest – save the bear!)
• “Hong” the Chinese Pirate (7-12 years old)
Many things in life that we do requires focus, good teamwork and brainpower to complete difficult tasks at hand. This quest reinforces the factors mentioned by honing your skill sets such as accuracy, memory work and unity. (Games: Sail across the difficult sea, Shoot the Pirate, Brain work, Rescue the Bear)
• Dough Builder (3-6 years old)
Self-confidence can be built through art and activities. Start slow and build the way up through steady, continuous improvement. (Games: Colour Hop, Play-Dough Swiper, Heart Moulder, Heart-A-Dough)
• Pie-Face (3-6 years old)
Realise your potential and not let your parents down through these easy and fun exercises! Parent will be seated on Pie-Face device, while child plays quest: (Games: Ping-Pong lay egg, Party Basketball, Balance Water in the Cup)
• Juz Fun Quest (3-6 years old)
We want the child to be able to focus in a chaotic environment, with the ability to recognise the importance of valuable end goals or targets, in order to achieve what they want in life! (Games: Maximize Your Cup Balancing Potential, Fill em’ cups up!)
2. Carnival Table Games
Total there are 18 carnival table games ready for the young at heart! Speeding across the bouncy castle, shoot clown’s teeth, get on a rodeo bull, roll balls along the big valleys and more! For those who wish to get game coupons, head over to the ticketing booth and purchase the booklet at $20. After, kids can bring home attractive prizes after collecting a number of points from playing the games.
3. Morning Zumba Workout
Get your weekend started with some morning Zumbo workouts, and participate with infectious music and dance your way into shape with everyone there! To join the Zumba workout sessions, please take note that it will take place from 8 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. on both days. First 300 Zumba registrants on 1st or 2nd October will be able to receive a free picnic breakfast set after completing the sessions. (Registration list is currently full)
4. K-Pop Dance Performance & Workshop
NTU K-Pop Dance Club will be bringing in exciting K-POP dance performances. Dance workshops will also be held for all dance fans. Do join in the fun!
5. Photobooth
Get your quirky snapshots at the beary Photobooth with props and take home a photo!
6. Live Band – Second Sunrise
A local Singapore Band with a thirst for creating good music. This vibrant and energetic band – Second Sunrise, will serve entertaining highlights with their unique and passionate take on different genres such as pop and rock, Rn’B and evergreen classics.
7. Movie under the stars – Kung Fu Panda 3
Pack some snacks and stretch your legs out on the picnic mat for a free movie screening under the stars! Don’t miss this free screening on 1st Oct 2016, Saturday, from 7pm to 9.30pm. Gotta love this movie night al fresco! Remember to pack your own Pinic mats and food!
