Experience Mid-Autumn Festival in a whole new light this year. We found out that there’s an old meet new twist in Gardens by the Bay from 3 Sept to 18 Sept on this traditional festive. Families can bask under the 10 lantern sets, with a height of 27 metres tall, from well-loved tales inspired like Chang Er, The Jade Rabbit and other Korean fables of the sun and the moon. To add on the new light, the interactive lantern procession in collaboration with Singapore University of Technology and Design, Gardens by the Bay has developed a modern lantern powered by a smartphone app.
There will be 4,000 lanterns painted by the community in Colonnade of Lights near the Supertree Grove, free nightly cultural performances, as well as craft booths and storytelling sessions. Furthermore, visitors can indulge in non-traditional fare in the ever popular Food Street!
