Naumi Liora – Boutique Hotel in Chinatown, Beacon of light with Rich heritage Charm.
If you are familiar with the luxury boutique hotel Naumi on Seah St, then you ought to know about their second Boutique Hotel in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown.
With doors opened with 79 rooms in 2012, Naumi Liora (Liora signifies Light) welcomes guests to its radiant heritage charm of spanning across ten 1920s Peranankan-styled buildings. It preserved the original hues of pumpkin orange & chalk grey heritage timber flooring, French-styled windows and ‘five-foot way’ to its best former glory.
Strategically located in Chinatown on Keong Saik Road which was also infamously associated to its brothels in the past, Naumi Liora is now surrounded by local delights – hip coffee joints, watering holes and gourmet of eateries.
The harmonious blend of heritage and modern craftsmanship owns its glory to design firm URBNarc. Imparting a nostalgic vibe (solely unique to Naumi Liora), you may find the mini figurine sculptures by local artist/sculptor KY Huang sneaking around the corners of the hotel. We found some mini coolies in the stairs landings – obviously in their gymnastic state of work/play.
NIBBLES NIBBLES
Religiously consumed in our childhood years, Naumi Liora thoughtfully prepares a complimentary 24-hour Nibbles snack bar at their lobby with a flavorful of treats such as ice creams, cookies, snacks, Nespresso coffee and also Dilmah tea selection. Smart move for families with kids while waiting for room keys to be churn out or any time of the day for a mini perk/pick-me-up.
For a humble boutique hotel, we were surprised to find a 24/7 essentially-fitted gymnasium with equipment supplied by Life Fitness. Go on and feast your way down the road!
LIORA QUAINT ( up to 25Sqm )
Our first visit was to their level 1, quaint rooms with no windows. Suited for those who wished to be well-rested away from the glaring morning sun. Surprisingly these rooms does have its own devotee who fancy such layout.
LIORA HERITAGE ( up to 28 sqm)
Next, we walked into the warmly lit Liora Heritage double room. The main highlights is its charming vintage French-styled windows alongside premium amenities such as Nespresso coffee machines. For this room, there are a separate work station behind the tv wall panel on the right of below image; with those round table mirror, ironing board, open wardrobe fully equipped in this more spacious room.
LIORA PORCH (up to 60 sqm)
Our Favorite among the three categories and the largest in size with its own adjoining private Porch overlooking the scenic Duxton Plains. It seek to allow guests to tuck away in a sedated getaway from the bustle of the city. We love how spacious it was considering there are so many rooms in this modest hotel, can be quite the most suitable suite to accommodate families with toddlers to wander in and out of the elegant french style white doors.
If this is what you are looking for a staycation with your kids during the weekends… We won’t mind sharing that there are ongoing promotions such as “Room for more” cater to families with great perks by booking direct from them.
Naumi Liora breathes life into a historically vibrant neighbourhood in Singapore which one won’t missed out such heritge beauty along Keong Saik Road. We are already looking forward to our next site visit to Naumi Hotel at Seah Street.
